Shell to stake claim
SINGJAY Shell is intent on making his presence felt in the entertainment industry this year.
He is pinning his hopes on his recent releases Minimum Wage and Talk, which are produced by Pay Day Music and his own Shellinz Production, respectively.
“I deejay about any and everything, from social commentary to relationship matters, but you would never find me saying anything negative towards women. Certain lines, I don’t cross,” said the 30-year-old, whose real name is Kimoni Irving.
With his roots in Westmoreland, he said from an early age his friends recognised he had a knack for singjaying.
“Growing up as a youth, my friends use to encourage me to develop my sound and take it more serious. They all say I had the potential in me, so I listened and just made the effort,”
he said.
He lists his inspirations as Little Hero and Garnett Silk.
For now, the artiste said he is focussed on reaching to the top.
“Well right now, I just working. The rewards will come,” he said.
