Charity golf tourney tees off today
THE Kingston Lodge Charity Golf Tournament will tee off today at the Constant Spring Golf Club as participants battle for the numerous prizes in men, ladies and junior categories.
Two of the major incentives include the best mason trophy and the best mason team trophy.
The starting times are available from 6:45 am to 1:30 pm.
Registration entry for senior players will be $3,000, while juniors will attract a $1,500 fee.
Erol Smith, the chairman of the tournament, said the Reg Keiz Memorial Basic School located off Red Hills Road, will be the focus this year.
He said the golf tournament is the leading fund-raiser for the Kingston Lodge charity programme.
“Every year the Kingston Lodge puts on this golf tournament to raise funds to fund our charities. The participants will be amateur golfers and a lot of them are brethren from different lodges. One of our main charities is the Reg Keiz Basic School,” Smith said.
