But let’s learn more about DJ Darz.
teenAGE: How did you get started in music?
Dario Chambers (DJ Darz): I got started by accident, used to fool around virtual DJ until I realised how fun it was, and that was actually how I started to love it. It was around age 19 that I started my career.
teenAGE: Why music?
DJ Darz: Music is what brings people together. Whatever the age, whatever the wage, music is the common factor. I love music and I love seeing people unite, so it was an easy choice.
teenAGE: Other than music what career path would you have chosen?
DJ Darz: Well, I always wanted to be a marketing manager, so I guess that’s what I would have pursued.
teenAGE: How would you describe your style of playing?
DJ Darz: My style of playing is creative and original. I try very hard not to play like anyone else.
teenAGE: Which disc jock do you see as a musical role model, and why?
DJ Darz: I can’t chose one person, but DJ Kruddy from Renaissance Disco because of his humility and DJ Shuggz because of his creativeness.
teenAGE: What has been the most memorable part of your career so far?
DJ Darz: Most memorable moment was when I went to a party and none of my songs were organised, and they weren’t even on my laptop, but I still delivered and the crowd’s response was one to remember.
teenAGE: Where last have you played and how was the response from the crowd?
DJ Darz: I last played at Image Fridayz a party that is kept every Friday at 99 Mountain View Avenue. The crowd response, as usual, was great.
teenAGE: Do you have any current projects working on now?
DJ Darz: I’m currently working on a official mixtape entitled Almost Famous.
teenAGE: How does your family feel about your career choice?
DJ Darz: My family has always supported me in anything I do, so it was easy for them to support me and my music career.
teenAGE: What advice would you give to young persons wanting to do music as a career?
DJ Darz: My advice to anyone wanting to do music as a career is, just try to start focus and keep positive. It’s a dog eat dog world out there, and most of all if you don’t love music, it makes no sense.
