Courts Ja hosts Iron Man 3 premiere
GUESTS of Courts Jamaica got an opportunity to interact with a real live ‘super heroes’ while sipping sparkling champagne at premiere of Iron Man 3 at the Carib Cinema in Cross Roads, St Andrew, on Wednesday.
“We intend to excite our customers while at the same time thanking them for their support,” Janet Sylvester, director of marketing, told the Jamaica Observer.
Guests were given the red carpet treatment complete with photographers. A few local celebrities Ian ‘Ity’ Ellis and Alton ‘Fancy Kat’ Hardware as well as Owen ‘Blakka’ Ellis were also seen. Corporate Jamaica was also represented.
Sylvester said the global box office hit, which grossed US$195 in its opening week, has a scene in which Marvel comic book character Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) is seen with a 110-inch TCL television set.
“We are also building brand awareness as we are the exclusive distributors of TCL in the Caribbean,” she said.
Dennis Harris, Court Jamaica’s managing director, told the Observer the Chinese multinational brand – ranked six in the world in TV production — was the fastest growing globally.
“15.2 million televisions sets were sold last year,” he said. “And it’s great value for money.”
The MD said he was pleased with the turnout and committed the furniture and appliance retailer would continue in making their customers satisfied.
