He’sthereal Links running well as usual for Shane Ellis was another two lengths back third as a 10-1 bet with the 5-1 chance Pegasus, ridden by Dane Nelson, completing the frame in the field of 10.
Scoop Jordyne, a four-year-old bay colt by Burning Marque out od One One Nine (The Medic) bred by David Eccleston, earned $262,400 as the winner’s share for his second win from three career starts for a bankroll of $598,700 lifetime.
Meanwhile, while no trainer saddled more than one win, Walker and Shane Ellis rode two winners each to wrestle riding honours. Ellis had back-to-back wins in the sixth and seventh aboard The Grey Gullion for trainer Lawrence Freemantle and Madiba for trainer Norman Palmer, respectively. Walker’s other win was atop Social Butterfly in the fourth race for trainer Victor Williams.
