Sizzla feels the love
ONE thing is certain, Sizzla Kolonji is loved by his peers. That affection was evident through the plethora of artistes who turned out Saturday to support his birthday bash at Royal View Entertainment Centre in Portmore, St Catherine.
The lengthy line-up resulted in truncated sets which were well-received.
Chief among them were Cocoa Tea and Ninjaman who engaged in a clash of sorts. Initially, the latter was hesitant to take the microphone, citing hoarseness, but after prompting from Cocoa Tea he entered the fray to resounding cheers.
The veteran deejay and singer brought the house down with their contrasting styles.
Major Mackerel was also a bright spark but it was the birthday boy who shone brightest.
Sizzla immediately moved into his vast catalogue and had the audience literally eating from his palms. During his stint he called up Beenie Man and Popcaan.
Solid stints also came from the evergreen deejay Lady G, Duane Stephenson, Power Man, Nesbeth, Ras Shiloh, Bubba, Mikey General, Mr Easy, Louis Culture, Ghost, General B, and I-Wayne.
