Prison break in Spanish Town
FOUR prisoners are now on the run after they escaped from the holding area of the Spanish Town lock-up early yesterday morning.
The prisoners escaped after they pried open two metal bars at the top section of the jail house.
Another prisoner who also made it out of the jail was quickly recaptured by the police before he could leave the station’s compound.
The prisoners on the lam have been identified as:
* Aston Daley, also called Daley Bwoy, a 25-year-old labourer of Shelter Rock, Spanish Town. Daley was detained on suspicion of murder by the St Catherine Major Investigation Task Force (MIT) and shooting with intent by the St Catherine North Criminal Investigation Branch;
* Damion Grey, otherwise called ‘Saint’ or ‘Butch’, a 34-year-old labourer of Shelter Rock, Spanish Town, St Catherine. Grey is charged with shooting with intent, assault at common law and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition;
* Rohan Pryce, otherwise called ‘Zink’, 31-year-old labourer of Ellerslie Pen, Spanish Town, St Catherine. He was charged for sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 16; and
* Byron Haughton, 27, of Mirander Road, Southborough, Portmore, St Catherine. Haughton is charged with robbery with aggravation.
