Monymusk Major League title on the line
FALMOUTH, Trelawny — The four finalists in the Trelawny Football Association Monymusk White Overproof Rums Major League will be decided today on what could be a dramatic final day of the preliminary rounds.
After three rounds and 15 games each, six teams are still alive in the race for the last four positions.
Mid-season champions and leaders Prospect Links and Classic United are both on 26 points and need only a point from their games against out of contention Invaders SC and Jackson Town to secure their places.
Third-placed Spicy Hill will face fourth-place Flames in what could be the best game of the day at Sea-Road field in Duncans.
One point separates the teams — Spicy Hill on 25 and Flames on 24 — and both must win to ensure their place in the semi-finals with Duanvale on 23 points taking on Clarks Town at home.
Former champions Exidos So Fresh also have a slim chance to advance and will take on Coopers Pen at Friendship.
The semi-finals are set for April 20 and 27, with the winners advancing to the two-way final set for May 5 and 12.
