Young Boyz off to make amends in Panama
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica’s Under-17 Reggae Boyz will try to make up for the recent disappointment of the senior team when they depart today for the World Cup Qualifiers in Panama.
The team, which has been at training camp since March 1st, is expected to leave the island at 5:57pm, according to the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) website.
Should the Boyz make it to the semi-finals of the CONCACAF Under-17 Championships in Panama they will qualify for the World Cup.
The team will be selected from the 20 players – 12 local-based and eight international – called to the training camp.
The senior Reggae Boyz recently lost 0-2 to Costa Rica.
