NBA iLIKES – April 2
5 Ace shooter Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors showed off his ball-handling skills against the Los Angeles Lakers in their encounter last Monday, going between the legs and behind the back before raising up to drain a three-pointer with Hall-of-Fame bound Steve Nash trying in vain to prevent the shot.
4 Kobe Bryant shed about 10 years took out a bit of revenge for teammate Steve Nash after Step Curry embarrassed him. After being isolated on the flank with a defender on his back, Kobe spun baseline before driving to the hoop and dunking between three Warrior defenders.
3 D-League call-up Chris Middleton tried his best to justify the decision made by Detroit Pistons in their clash against the Minnesota Timberwolves last Tuesday. Running the floor following a Ricky Rubio miss, Middleton set off on a one-man fast break, treading the line before changing gears to blow by the T-Wolves defence to deliver a one-handed monster jam.
2 Jimmy Butler of the Chicago Bulls really did not care much for the Miami Heat on Wednesday and he was in a giant-slaying mood. Not only did he play a role in his team’s eventual victory, but he clinched a piece of the highlights for himself, dunking over Miami’s Chris Bosh from a Luo Deng lob. Needless to say, the play resulted in a time-out from the Miami Heat bench.
1 Kobe Bryant moved ahead of Wilt Chamberlain for fourth place in the all-time scoring charts during the Los Angeles Lakers game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. In vintage Kobe fashion, the ‘Black Mamba’ dribbled up the court before shaking off his defender with a step back before draining the mid-range jumper to sent the T-Wolves arena into a frenzy.
