Barbados defeat Leewards in regional four-day cricket

BASSETERRE, St Kitts (CMC) – Barbados defeated Leeward Islands by an innings and 31 runs before lunch on the final day of their sixth round match in the Regional Four-Day Championship at Warner Park on Tuesday.

LEEWARDS – 201 all out (Sylvester Joseph 65, Tonito Willett 54 not out, Devon Thomas 34; Ashley Nurse 6-89, Sulieman Benn 2-47) and 149 (Jahmar Hamilton 50, Devon Thomas 29; Sulieman Benn 6-43, Ashley Nurse 4-47)

BARBADOS – 381 for six decl. (Kraigg Brathwaite 165, Kevin Stoute 114, Shane Dowrich 32 not out, Kirk Edwards 32; Kelbert Walters 3-64, Shane Burton 2-32)
