BAMBOO, Hanover — Leaders Wadadah FC scored their first win in the third round of the Jamaica Football Federation Captain’s Bakery and Grill Western Confederation Super League on Thursday, beating relegation-threatened Bamboo FC 2-0 at Bamboo.

After being held 0-0 by mid-season champions Tomorrow’s People in their previous game, Wadadah scored their eighth win of the season to improve to 27 points, two more than Tomorrow’s People who edged Petersfield 2-1 at Jarrett Park.

After their dreadful start, Granville have steadily worked their way up the tables and are in the fourth spot after spanking Village United 4-0 at Sam Sharpe Teachers’ College.

At Bamboo, Demar Dohman scored his fifth goal of the season in the 22nd minute, to give Wadadah the lead, before Curtis Palmer secured the points with his second goal of the season in the 79th minute.

At Jarrett Park, the prolific Davell Cornwall scored his league-leading sixth goal in the 17th minute to give Tomorrow’s People a first-half lead.

Gregory Tape doubled the lead in the 62nd minute before Raindo Vassell gave Petersfield some hope in the 72nd minute by cutting the deficit.

Troy Reid led Granville to their biggest margin of victory this season, scoring twice, in the fourth and 48th minutes, as Rodney Hines also scored in the 72nd minute and Jeffroy Leslie in time added for Granville, who lead Village on goal difference and have a game in hand.

Norwood also had their best victory for the season, beating last-placed Logwood United 3-1 with two late goals at the UDC field to jump to ninth place on 13 points.

Anthony Mills gave the Montego Bay club the lead after 14 minutes before Clevon Quarrie levelled the scores in the 54th minute.

Rushane Reid and Kamal Smith scored a minute apart late in the game in the 83rd and 84th minutes to secure the points.

In another game, Holland United and Harmony played out a 0-0 draw in a Trelawny derby at the Elliston Wakeland Centre.
