Three relegated from LIME Division One
WESTCHESTER and Upfront United joined Hellshire United as the three teams to be relegated from the LIME St Catherine Division One League over the weekend.
With Hellshire on six points being relegated from the previous week, three teams in Upfront United, Westchester and Blackpool were all in danger of relegation.
But despite Blackpool losing 0-1 to Upfront United, Westchester failed to capitalise on that and themselves crashed to a 0-3 defeat to Farm and failed to overtake Blackpool.
So Hellshire finished at the bottom with six points from 16 games with both Westchester and Upfront United on 11 points each and will play division two football next season.
Meanwhile, the four semi-finalists have been decided with Albion, New Raiders, Travelers and Dunbeholden making it through.
Travelers defeated Spanish Town Police; Albion and Windsor Lions battled to a 1-1 draw and Dunbeholden were held to a 0-0 draw by Watson Grove.
So overall, Albion topped the standing with 38 points ahead of New Raiders with 32, Travelers finished third on 31 and Dunbeholden fourth with 29 points.
Windsor Lions were sixth on 26 points, one ahead of Watson Grove with Spanish Town Police seventh on 18 points, the same as Farm United.
In the first leg of the semi-finals on Thursday, March 21, Albion will take on Dunbeholden at the Spanish Town Prison Oval before New Raiders play Travelers on Sunday, March 24 at Ewarton field.
In the Major League, the four semi-finalists are Flamingo, Old Harbour Bay United, Christian Pen, and DB Basovak.
Flamingo resting some key players crashed 0-5 to Portsmouth; Black Lions defeated Naggos Head 2-0; Old Harbour Bay and De la Vega City drew 1-1; and Tru-Juice clipped Rodwood 3-2.
Flamingo finished on top with 29 points, two more than Old Harbour Bay with third-placed Christian Pen a point back with 26. Fourth-placed DB Basovak finished on 24 points.
Portsmouth and Tru-Juice finished on 20 points in fifth and sixth, respectively, just ahead of both Rodwood and De la Vega City on 19 each with Naggo’s Head on 15 and Black Lions with 14, finishing ahead of the relegated McCooks Pen on six points.
