Ambassadors move clear in Sandals/ATL Senior League
MONTEGO BAY, St James — North Gully Ambassadors moved three points clear of Fogo United at the top of the points tables in the St James Football Association Sandals/ATL Senior League on Wednesday after blanking Melbourne United 2-0 at the UDC Field.
The win was North Gully Ambassadors’ third in a row after two draws to open their season as they improved to 11 points, while Melbourne lost for the second straight game, after going 13 games unbeaten stretching back to last season.
Asornie Binger scored in his second straight game when he gave North Gully the lead after 33 minutes. while Chrisal Watkin added a second goal in the 64th minute.
This afternoon, Montego Bay Boys Club and Little Miami will clash for sole ownership of second place in Zone B behind Montego Bay United in the 5:00 pm opening game.
Both are on seven points from four games, four behind Montego Bay United Under-21 and both are coming off wins last week.
In the second game set to start at 7:00 pm, the improving Salt Spring United will be gunning for their third win in a row when they take on winless Granville City.
Salt Spring which are in third place and could move a place up with a win, have score three of their five goals in their last two wins without conceding a goal while Granville has conceded 10 goals in four games played.
