Arts in the Park, a hit
KINGSTON: Arts in the Park was a hit among the many patrons who attended the event at the Hope Botanical Gardens in St Andrew on Sunday.
An initiative of the Ministry of Tourism and Entertainment, the inaugural event showcased new and emerging talents coupled with a village for local artists to showcase their paintings, craft items.
Free to the public, its introduction was to facilitate inclusion in Reggae Month festivities.
Performers included bands Nomaddz, Pentateuch, Ska Rebirth, C-Sharp as well as Chronixx and Zinc Fence.
Dr Wykeham McNeill, Minister of Tourism and Entertainment, said the feedback from agents who attended has been positive.
“I believe that the initiative will prove to be an excellent platform for the exposure of new and emerging talent,” he said.
