Love keeps TOI afloat
FEMALE singer TOI premiered her new music video Suspended by Love on YouTube on Valentine’s Day.
The Jamaica-born singer felt the day was appropiate for her track.
“Suspended by Love is about being so in love that it becomes almost an addiction. You can’t get enough of it and it just sweeps you off your feet,” the 21 years old told Jamaica Observer.
The video was directed by Calibur Entertainment in Pembroke Pines, Florida.
Currently working on her first EP, TOI (given name Toian Gichie) is excited about the new song.
“My expectations are high. I believe this song has a wide appeal and has the potential to make it mainstream,” said Toi, who is featured on Protoje’s Shot By Love.
“I’m more than excited to finally release the visuals for this song which creates a whole new way for viewers to interpret the lyrics,” she continued.
Formerly of St James, the singer has been residing in Florida for the last four years. She is also studying at Miami Dade College.
TOI cites her musical influences as Millie Small, Barrington Levy, Tenor Saw, Nadine Sutherland, and Sanchez.
Her other releases include Freeze Time, Love Like This, and Your My Baby.
