Oscar Pistorius granted bail
South Africa (AP) – A judge in Pretoria, South Africa, has granted bail for Olympic athlete Oscar Pistorius, who is charged with one count of premeditated murder in the death of his girlfriend.
Chief Magistrate Desmond Nair ruled on the fourth day of a bail hearing Friday.
The double amputee should be released from custody pending his trial because he is not a flight risk, the judge said.
Pistorius is accused of deliberately shooting Reeva Steenkamp at his home in the early morning hours of February 14.
