Harbour View train rolls on
FROME, Westmoreland — Harbour View’s inspirational national midfielder Jermaine Hue was red-carded in time added on at the end of the second half for violent conduct in their Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) third-round game at the Frome Sports Complex yesterday.
Harbour View were leading 2-0 at the time when Hue was fouled, went off the field and upon returning, committed the infringement, and giving referee Wilverglen Lamey no choice but to issue the marching orders.
Hue had given the RSPL leaders the lead in the 40th minute from the penalty spot after Lynval Wilson had fouled a Harbour View player in the box and was sent off.
Five minutes later Andre Fagan doubled Harbour View’s lead, but the leaders failed to add to their tally in the second half.
The loss cut Savannah’s three-game unbeaten streak during which they beat Montego Bay United to end that team’s hopes of the second end-of-round-final berth and draws against Portmore United and Boys’ Town.
