Beckford’s departure will leave a gap – Bolt team
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Usain Bolt’s manager Norman Peart, in confirming publicist Carole Beckford’s resignation from the team said this morning that her departure will definitely “leave a gap”.
News of Beckford’s resignation broke Wednesday night surprising many, as the public relations specialist had been with the Olympic champion since 2009.
Peart said that Beckford’s decision to leave “was a hard one” and “involves family matters, as well as other opportunities, which the publicist will now tend to”.
Meanwhile, no decision has been reached regarding Beckford’s replacement as it will “require somebody special” to replace her as “we can’t just move on to anybody”, said Peart.
