Bob Marley One Love football on today
THE 32nd staging of the Bob Marley One Love football matches in round-robin style will take place today at the Constant Spring football field commencing at 2:30 pm.
The teams vying for the Bob Marley One Love Trophy are Entertainers, Promoters & Christian Ambassadors, Masters & Celebrities and Sponsors & Media.
Each team will play three matches for 30 minutes each.
The entertainers will field the likes of Chris Martin, Aidonia, Konkorer, Wickerman, Cobra, Lukie D, Nesbeth and Marvin Chin.
The Promoters & Christian Ambassadors team will include Dean Shepherd, Gregory Bond, Phillip Riley, Leroy Manderson, Peter Grant, Richard McGrath and Delroy Morgan.
Masters & Celebrities comprise Theodore ‘Tappa’ Whitmore, Hector Wright, Walter Boyd, David Lalor, Rudolph Speid, Andre Virtue and Ian Wilkinson to name a few, while the Sponsors & Media team will include Audley Boyd, Ian Burnett, Neo Oxford, Wayne Walker, Damion Gordon, Lenny Hyde and Hugh ‘Bingy’ Blair’.
Honorees this year will be Manley ‘Big Youth’ Buchanan, Winston ‘The Whip’ Williams, radio announcer and Boris Gardner.
Sound will be provided by PRS with music by Christopher Bryte from Sniper International. There will be lots of prizes and surprises.
