Diane Issachar, dead at 65
WELL-KNOWN reggae photographer and Twelve Tribes of Israel member, Diane Isaachar, is dead.
She died from cancer on Saturday in California, according to her close friend, Jamaican publicist Vonnie McGowan.
She was 65 years old.
Issachar was born Diane Osbourne in California but also lived in Florida for several years. She is survived by a son, Nikiya.
“Even though she was from a different culture she embraced Jamaican culture and music,” McGowan said.
Issachar was a fixture on the reggae circuit for many years, especially the California festival scene.
She also shot album covers for numerous Jamaican artistes and musicians including singer Mikey General, saxophonist Dean Fraser, and guitarist Dwight Pinkney.
