Boys’ Town, H’View for Bell KO final
Boys’ Town and Harbour View will meet in the final of the Yellow Pages/KSAFA Jackie Bell Knockout, setting the stage for another legendary showdown between two long-time rivals.
Boys’ Town reached their second consecutive final after a 4-3 semi-final penalty win over Waterhouse at the Constant Spring field on Sunday, while Harbour View blanked Tivoli Gardens 2-0 at Waterhouse on Monday.
At Constant Spring, Nicholas McMorris, goalkeeper Kirk Porter, Daemon Benjamin and Marvin Stewart ensured Boys’ Town advanced despite Renae Lloyd’s miss.
Hughan Gray, Jermaine Anderson and Weston Forrest converted for Waterhouse whereas Damion Powell and goalkeeper Richard McCallum failed to score.
“It’s a good feeling to reach our second Jackie Bell final,” an elated Boys’ Town coach Andrew Price said.
Price’s counterpart Donovan Duckie, who was fired by the club afterwards, believed his team played the better football on the night.
