Invaders extend lead in Trelawny
BUNKERS HILL, Trelawny — Former champions Invaders SC extended their lead in Zone One of the Trelawny Football Association National Rums of Jamaica Major League on Saturday while another former winner Exidos So Fresh took over the lead in Zone Two.
Invaders opened up a six-point lead over Spicy Hill and Clarks Town after a 1-0 win over Jackson Town in the second game of a double-header at Bunkers Hill.
Roxroy Hardy’s 72nd-minute goal gave Invaders their fifth win of the season as they improved to 18 points
In the first game, Exidos came from a goal down to beat Kinloss 2-1 as all three goals came in a nine-minute span in the second half.
The win pushed Exidos to 14 points, one more than Prospect Links and Classic United who were held 1-1 by Flames in Duncans.
Rajiv Chung gave Kinloss the lead in the 65th minute but Husana Johnson equalised four minutes later before Oneil Carnegie scored the winner in the 74th minute.
In the game at Sea-Road field, the two teams scored within a minute of each other to share the points.
Shane Tyrell scored in the 10th minute for Flames, but Terrence Cousley equalised a minute later as the teams drew for the second time this season after playing out a 0-0 draw in the first round.
