KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica’s two individual winners at the London Olympics, Usain Bolt and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, will likely be the country’s only champions at the Outdoor World Championships in Russia, according to Track and Field News.

The men’s 4×100 relay team is also expected to maintain its dominance.

The much-respected athletics magazine put out its early predictions over the weekend, which lists Fraser-Pryce as the only female Caribbean winner.

Fraser-Pryce is set to reclaim the World Championship 100m top position that she lost to American Carmelita Jeter at the Daegu Championships two years ago.

Jamaica’s Veronica Campbell-Brown is expected to claim the bronze medal but will likely relinquish her only World 200m title after four attempts, losing out to the US’ Allyson Felix, who beat her on three previous occasions.

Fraser-Pryce, who took 200m silver in London, where Campbell-Brown finished just outside the medals, is expected to get third place.

Repeat triple Olympic champion Usain Bolt is predicted to win both short sprints, recapturing his 100m title which training mate Yohan Blake took after a shocking false start disqualification two years ago.

Blake is expected to get the runner-up spot in both events while another Jamaican, Jason Young, is expected to get third in the 200m, repeating the island’s clean sweep of the event as at the London Games.

American Mike Rodgers is tipped to get the 100m bronze.

The men’s sprint relay team should retain its winning ways while the women will probably play second-fiddle to the Americans who set a new world record in the Olympic final last year.
