Granville halt TP in Western Confed Super League
GRANVILLE, St James — Tomorrow’s People failed to retake the lead in Zone Two of the JFF/Captain’s Bakery and Grill Western Confederation Super League on Wednesday after they were held 1-1 by Granville United in their rescheduled second-round game at the Sam Sharpe Teachers’ College grounds.
The Paul ‘Tegat’ Davis-coached Tomorrow’s People had won the first round game 1-0, but Wednesday’s draw left them on 14 points, two behind leaders Reno FC.
Jermaine Cooper gave Tomorrow’s People the lead after three minutes, while Okeefe Brown scored his first goal in the 48th minute to earn a point for Granville.
In another game, Catherine Hall’s winless streak was extended to four games, after they played out a 0-0 draw against Logwood United at the UDC field.
It was also the second-straight 0-0 game for Logwood, who were beaten 3-0 in the first-round game, but they stayed at the bottom of Zone One on six points, four behind Catherine Hall who are in third place on 10 points.
