Sandals/ATL St James Senior League continues
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Melbourne United will take on Granville City in the second game of a double header at Jarrett Park today, as the Sandals/ATL St James Football Association Senior League continues with a double header.
Melbourne, who just failed by a point to make it to the semi-finals last season despite not losing a game all season, was impressive in a 3-0 loss to Premier League club Montego Bay United in a Knockout semi-final on Sunday, and if they report in the same form, should get by Granville City.
Melbourne won just three games and drew seven others last season, but were edged by a point by North Gully Ambassadors for a place in the top four.
Granville City won just twice and were not a factor in the race for the semi-final.
In the first game today, Boys Club, a semi-finalists last season, will open their account against Montego Bay United Under-21 in a game set to start at 5:00 pm.
Boys Club were the best defensive team in the 2011-2012 regular season, conceding just three goals in 10 games.
Two more games will be played tomorrow. Revelations will face Rosemount at the UDC field and Violet Kickers and Salt Spring United will meet at Wespow Park, both set to start at 3:00 pm.
