Sandals Whitehouse cop KO crown
FROME, Westmoreland — Sandals Whitehouse won their second Westmoreland Football Association’s Roger Clarke Knockout title in three years after beating Petersfield FC 2-0 in the final at the Frome Sports Complex on Thursday.
Both goals came in the second half through Oneil Blair in the 52nd minute and Dervin Campbell in the 81st, but the victors finished the game with 10 players after Kenroy Samuels was sent off in the 80th minute after getting a second yellow card.
After winning the title in the 2011 season, the Aaron Lawrence-coached Sandals Whitehouse will represent Westmoreland in the Jamaica Football Federation’s all-island Champions Cup KO set to start later this year.
