PHOTO: Hydel, Ardenne strike first
Sandale James (right) of Hydel High, defending KFC/ISSA Southern Conference Under-19 champions, attempts to shoot over Kingston College’s Zachary McLeod during game one of the best-of-three finals at the National Stadium courts yesterday. Hydel High won 61-57. In game one of the best-of-three Under-16 finals, defending champions Ardenne High turned back Kingston College 44-38, as they seek their third straight hold on the title. Malik McCarthy led the way for Ardenne High with 19 points, as his team held the upper hand following quarterly scores of 9-9, 18-16 and 28-25. Game two in both categories will be played at the same venue next Monday.
