GIANT-KILLERS UWI Pelicans ‘A’ will face Global United ‘A’ as the 2012/2013 JNBS/JNA ‘Elite’ Group continues this afternoon at the Leila Robinson Courts, starting at 6:20.

After their stunning 24-21 upset victory over defending champions JAMALCO and then a 21-21 draw with Waulgrovians ‘A’, the Conrad Parkes-coached Pelicans high on confidence.

UWI Pelicans ‘A’ should come out with another victory when they face Global United ‘A’ with Nadine Bryan leading the attack. She will be supported by Shann Lambert and Trishana Harwood and Hemmings and La Donna Lamonth.

Global ‘A’, coached by Dalton Hinds, will be hoping to pick up their first victory, but it will be very difficult against a fast-moving Pelicans.

Shooters Denise Smith and Claudia Callender will have to be very accurate with their shootings and hope that they get the support from Latoya Thomas, Truly Campbell and Trishana McGowan if they are to secure their first win of the season.

Tivoli ‘A’ should rebound from their close defeat to Waulgrovians ‘A’ last Tuesday when they tackle Cable Pro, while Mico ‘A’ and GC Foster Strikers ‘A’ are down for what is expected to be a close affair.

All these games are scheduled to begin at 6:20 pm.

Group ‘B’ matches on this afternoon are Top Mountain Flames vs Department of Correction Services; UTEC H Knights vs Alexander Strikers; Upper Camp vs Hagley Park; Rivoli United ‘B’ vs Jetsetters ‘A’. Match time at 1:00 pm.

In 1:40 pm starts, Genesis will take on Edna Manley Strikers; Pembroke Hall ‘B’ vs Hellshire United; Tivoli ‘B’ vs Maxfield ‘B’ and Liguanea United ‘B’ vs Police ‘A’.

In other matches, OMEGA will meet Molynes United ‘A’; Breaton United face Job’s Lane United ‘A’; Boulevard Baptist cross swords with Spanish Town Strikers ‘A’, while Greenwich Town ‘B’ confront Maxfield Park ‘A’. Game time is 2:20 pm.
