Adele confirms her post-baby comeback
She’s stayed largely out of the limelight since welcoming her first child into the world last October. But Adele has now confirmed she will make her post-pregnancy comeback performance at the 2013 Oscars next month.
The 24-year-old singer will perform Skyfall, the theme tune to the latest James Bond movie, during the 85th Academy Awards at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre on February 24. And the star-studded event could see the Someone Like You hitmaker pick up an award herself, with Skyfall — which she co-wrote alongside Paul Epworth — nominated in the Original Song category. Adele said: “It’s an honour to be nominated and terrifyingly wonderful to be singing in front of people who have captured my imagination over and over again. It’s something I’ve never experienced and probably only ever will once!”
Meanwhile, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, producers of this year’s Academy Awards, hailed Adele’s ‘unique artistry’. In a statement, they said: “She is currently one of the most successful recording artistes in the world, and we believe her performance of Skyfall will be an exciting Oscar moment.”

Katy Perry arrives back in LA without beau
She attended President Barack Obama’s Inaugural ball last Monday evening, alongside her boyfriend John Mayer. And on the morning after the party, which she revealed was the best she’s ever been to, Katy Perry was spotted arriving back in Los Angeles alone.
Putting all the glamour of the last few days behind her, the singer dressed down for her flight which she caught without her musician beau. With a grey beanie hat covering her jet black hair, she kept the cold at bay wearing a stylish dark grey coat. Keeping it casual, she wore a pair of black ankle boots with her black tights on show.

Leonardo takes a break
Leonardo DiCaprio has starred in some of the biggest and most critically acclaimed movies of the past few years. However, the heart-throb actor has decided to take a break from films and it looks like he is already reaping the benefits of his hiatus. The 38-year-old was the centre of attention as he relaxed beside a swimming pool with his friends in Miami, Florida, last Tuesday. DiCaprio has been working on three films in the last two years, which have left him feeling drained. While Django Unchained is an Oscar contender, the upcoming Great Gatsby and The Wolf Of Wall Street will also give his fans a chance to see him on screen for a little longer. Speaking to German newspaper Bild, DiCaprio said: “I am a bit drained; I’ve done three films in two years and I’m just worn out.”
