JFF mourns passing of Dr Heather Little-White
PRESIDENT of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) Captain Horace Burrell has expressed deep sadness at the passing of Dr Heather Little-White.
“Heather was a dear, loyal, positive supporter of Jamaica’s football programme for much over a decade. She always had encouraging words for the programme and even more so, was always willing to contribute her service, advice and her very rich knowledge,” said Burrell on receiving news of her death.
Her patriotic loyalty to the programme was manifested in her presence at all football matches at the National Stadium before her unfortunate accident and after.
Little-White’s contribution to the Road to Francé campaign in the form of the provision of guidance on nutritional support for maximum performance was considered to be one of the most critical ingredients to the success of that campaign.
She further travelled to France to help with the provision of nutritional meals for players and was a trailblazer in this area of expertise.
Little-White was a member of the JFF Coaching School instructor core since 2009 and up to the time of her passing and last delivered a lecture to an Advanced Level I Group in July 2012 in Montego Bay.
Burrell noted that the JFF board of directors will meet today and will decide on an appropriate recognition of the football fraternity to this Jamaican female stalwart.
