Off-duty Bond
He plays the coolest spy in the world and at times he’s had to strip to his swim shorts.
So it’s not surprising that Daniel Craig wants to keep in shape as much as he can. The actor, who plays James Bond, was spotted heading to the gym for a workout in New York last Friday. Looking a far cry from his suave character he wore a pair of tight grey tracksuit bottoms, a maroon jumper and a padded gilet. He kept warm with scarf tied around his neck and a beanie hat, while he carried a bag. The 44-year-old shielded his eyes from any winter sun there may be by wearing a pair of sunglasses. Daniel looked deep in thought as he made his way there perhaps wishing he was with wife Rachel Weisz instead. Last Thursday evening the newly married couple enjoyed a rare night out in New York and went to see Cat On A Hot Tin Roof at the theatre. According to reports Rachel is keen to star alongside Daniel in a London theatre role at some point in 2013.

‘I am not getting engaged or married’
Cheryl Cole has rubbished rumours that Tre Holloway is about to propose. The 29-year-old singer posted a message on her Twitter page last Sunday night, following reports her dancer beau had asked her father for her hand in marriage. Cheryl tweeted: “Ok.. That’s enough silliness… I am not, nor am I getting engaged or married! Stop it.”
The singer made the announcement after reports emerged that Tre was already looking for an engagement ring because he wanted to propose. A source told the Sunday Mirror: “Cheryl told Tre over Christmas that she was starting to think about marrying again, something she never thought she’d contemplate after her divorce from Ashley.” And the source even claimed that the American dancer had asked Cheryl’s father for her hand in marriage and said: “[Garry] decided to give his permission but asked [him] just to make sure he was 100 per cent sure when he proposed.” Her best friend Kimberley Walsh has speculated Cheryl might be on the verge of marriage, telling Jonathan Ross that they could ‘go the distance’. Kimberley said: “She’s known him for quite a long time. A few years, he danced for her the first time years and years ago. Yeah he’s a lovely guy so I’m happy that he makes her happy.”

Elton John ‘paid £20,000’ to surrogate mother
He’s one of Britain’s richest stars, with an estimated wealth of £220 million. But according to reports in The Sun, Elton John forked out £20,000 to the surrogate mother of newborn son Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John, who also gave birth to their first son Zachary. The superstar and his partner David Furnish, whose second son was born on January 11, paid their surrogate the sum in accordance to the rules of the Center for Surrogate Parenting in Encino, California. The couple allegedly paid the unnamed surrogate £17,340 for giving birth to their first son in 2010, and will have to stump up £21,675 if they want to have a third child with the same woman. According to reports, the Californian centre has strict rules about who they use as surrogates and only chooses women who are non-smokers, are physically fit and are already bringing up a child of their own.
A source told The Sun: “They do it so they can bring joy and light to married and gay couples who wouldn’t otherwise be able to have children.” The centre abides by the payment rules so that special treatment is not afforded to people who have more money than others. Last November, the news broke that Elton and David were expecting their second child but had chosen not to reveal the identity of the surrogate. A source said: “Elton and David love this lady like a sister and they feel indebted to her for life.
Naturally she has been well rewarded. But her identity will never be revealed. They are over the moon.”
