KSAFA Super/Major League enters second round of games
AUGUST Town, Rae Town, UWI, and Rockfort will all go in search of their second- straight win in the KSAFA Super League when the second round of games takes place today.
August Town host Mountain View in the feature game of the day at UWI Bowl, Greenwich Town take on Rae Town at Tinson Pen, Santos play Barbican at the Bell/Chung Oval, Shortwood entertain Rockfort at Shortwood school, Police play UWI also at Shortwood, and Olympic Gardens go up against Allman/Woodford at the Constant Spring Complex.
All games start at 3:30 pm, except for the Olympic/Allman/Woodford and the Police/UWI matches, which begin at 1:30.
It is expected that star-studded August Town will get a stern test from Mountain View, who are also one of the stronger teams in this season’s competition.
Rae Town and UWI will start favourites against Greenwich Town and Police, respectively, and although the latter two lost their opening games last weekend, they still cannot be underestimated.
Barbican, who are looking to improve on their fourth-placed finish last season, will fancy their chances against a weakened Santos side while Rockfort, after their impressive 4-0 start against Greenwich Town, are expected to get the win against Shortwood.
However, the Olympic Gardens versus Allman/Woodford game can go either way.
In the Hi-Lyte Major League, only two games will be contested today, with the remaining games of the round to be contested tomorrow.
In today’s matches, Molynes host Duhaney Park at Molynes field at 3:00 pm and Constant Spring face Meadforest in the second game of the Constant Spring double-header at 5:00 pm.
Tomorrow, Brown’s Town play Swallowfield at Vauxhall school, Cooreville are at home to Maxfield at Cooreville field, Pembroke Hall entertain New Kingston at Pembroke Hall school, while Real Mona battle Bull Bay at Buttercup Park.
All games start at 3:00 pm.
