‘I once dated girls but I was more interested in their brothers’
Last year, he came out as a ‘happy’, ‘comfortable’ and ‘proud’ gay man in a candid e-mail. But Anderson Cooper has revealed he was once more of a ladies’ man. The 45-year-old CNN reporter and talk show host discussed his experiences ‘dating girls’ in his younger days during an episode of his talk show. “I have had a little bit more experience in other areas other than with guys,” the TV reporter revealed. “I don’t have much experience, but the few times when I would go on a date with a girl — like when I was 12 — there was a lot of sharing, and a lot of talking, and a lot of asking how I am. Some of my best friends now are girls who allegedly dated me at 13 and 14, and who I didn’t really know we were dating, but they thought we were dating, and I was sort of, you know, hoping to meet their brothers.” Anderson, who currently shares a New York townhouse with boyfriend and nightclub owner Ben Maisani, also shared his thoughts on the differences in dating women. “They’re my best friends still, but I find they share a lot,” he said. “I have a friend — I send her one text and I get 20 texts back. Guys don’t want a million texts. It’s exhausting.”

‘We don’t worship rabbits!’
Erika Christensen has spoken out in defence of Scientology. The 30-year-old Parenthood star has practised the religion since she was a child and dismissed outrageous claims made about its practice in a newly-released video interview. Sitting down with co-star Joy Bryant, Christensen said: “If I had to sum it up, the goal of Scientology is giving the person back to themselves. Like, your own power of choice.” The interview was conducted for Bryant’s web series Across the Board. After a day of paddle boarding, the pair sit down for a chat and Christenen is asked about what keeps her grounded. Scientology, she says, is at the top of the list. Christensen goes on to discuss what she feels are misconceptions about the church, whose followers include Tom Cruise, John Travolta and Kirstie Alley. “One, that we are some kind of closed group. Two, that we are the Hollywood religion and three, that we worship rabbits,” she said, laughing. Christensen explained she was introduced to Scientology as a young girl: her parents are also Scientologists. Bryant asked how she might approach the topic of religion with her own children. “I would expose to them, like, this is what I do, which is how my parents did it, because my parents are Scientologists,” she said, recalling: “When I was, like seven, they did like this demonstration. There is this thing in Scientology, it’s a study method to demonstrate things out. I would give them the option, of like, these are our study tools. You can use them in school, get good grades, learn,” she said.

Snooki tries to get New York radio host fired
As one of the loud-mouthed stars of the Jersey Shore, it’s fair to say Snooki has had her fair share of fist-pumping fans and scathing critics. But a remark from radio jockey Adam Schein that turned into a war of words between the pair has erupted with the pint-sized reality television personality reportedly seeking to get him fired. Schein, who hosts satellite radio show Loudmouths, is apparently the subject of a complaint filed with executives at Sirius XM after he tweeted about Snooki needing to shower after walking by her. Snooki, real name Nicole Polizzi, was at the company’s New York City office to promote the latest season of MTV’s Jersey Shore spin-off Snooki & JWOWW, co-starring her Jersey Shore castmate and best friend Jenni Farley. After a brush by SportsNet New York’s Loudmouths co-host Schein, he tried to be clever with a cruel tweet. “Just walked by Snooki at SiriusXM. I feel like I need a shower.” Schein wrote, beckoning an almost instant reply from the Jersey Shore star, who rose to fame as MTV documented her wild antics in Seaside Heights with the rest of the cast. “Why can’t you say that to my face though? #toughguy,” she responded. The tweets sparked outrage as Snooki and Shein’s followers came out of their respective corners with vitriolic insults for each other and the TV and radio personalities. RadarOnline credited a popular Twitter source, @IncarceratedBob, who calls himself the ‘#1 Underground *Breaking Sports News*,’ with announcing Snooki had taken their argument to higher-ups.’**UPDATED RADIO NEWS**Source: @snooki just went to #XM management trying to get @Adamschein fired for his comments.. she’s having a tantrum,’ he wrote.
