Top seeds win again in JNBS/JNA Open League
SEEDED teams remained unbeaten in Group ‘B’ of the JNBS/JNA Open League from victories at the Leila Robinson Courts last Saturday and Sunday.
Alpha, coached by Dwight Sutherland, have scored two wins from as many starts to lead Group One in the standings with six points. SPEG ‘A’, coached by Arlene Findlay, have six points from two starts to assume the early lead in Group Two.
Jetsetters ‘A’, coached by C Lloyd Walker, have nine points from three outings to lead Group Three ahead of the Conrad Parkes-coached UWI Pelicans ‘B’ with six from two games and UTech Knights, six from two.
Police ‘A’, coached by Joan Benjamin, and Tivoli ‘B’, coached by Sylvester “Chris” Campbell, are joint leaders of Group Four with six points each from two matches.
Group Five has Ebony Strikers ‘A’ leading with nine points from three games, with Ocho Rios Magics second with seven, but have played a game less.
Group Six is a also competitive between Raven, Friendship and Mico ‘B’. Raven and Friendship lead with six points from two matches, with Mico ‘B’ on three from one game.
Job’s Lane United ‘A’ lead Group Seven with nine points from three matches, with Molynes United ‘A’, coached by Roy Pryce, on six from two, followed by Boulevard Baptist, also with six from two.
Blades United ‘A’ lead Group Eight with nine points from three games, followed by Waulgrovians ‘B’, coached by Marvette Anderson, with six from three.
