Muschett High favoured to make finals
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Former champions Muschett High will start favourites to qualify for both finals of the ISSA/KFC Western Conference boys high school basketball league today when the first set of semi-finals are played at the Montego Bay Cricket Club.
Muschett are unbeaten in both sections and ranked number one going into today’s semi-finals against fourth seeds St James High and defending champions Cornwall College, respectively.
St James High secured their place in the semi-finals of the Under-16 last week after beating Green Pond High in a decisive game played at the Montego Bay Cricket Club.
Cornwall College, meanwhile, slipped into the fourth slot in the Under-19 section after losing a close game to Holland High in Montego Bay.
The second set of semi-finals will be played Thursday at the same venue with defending Under-16 champions Herbert Morrison taking on Spot Valley, while Trelawny neighbours William Knibb Memorial and Holland High will meet in the Under-19 game.
