Power problems affecting NWC water supply
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The National Water Commission is advising customers in sections of St Thomas served by the Goodyear Well that the disruption they are currently experiencing in their water supply is as a result of power supply problems affecting operations at the well.
Areas affected by this disruption in service include: Morant Bay, Springfield, Duhaney Pen, Roselle, Lyssons, Western Prospect, York, Alexander Park, Retreat, Seaforth and Highbury.
In the meantime, customers who are served by the Green Acres Well and Tulloch Springs Water Supply System in St Catherine are experiencing a disruption in their water supply due to electrical problems at these facilities.
Areas impacted by the Green Acres downtime include: Green Acres, Bendon, Bellevue Heights, St John’s Meadows, Mercury Gardens, Johnson Pen, St John’s Heights, Bellwood Housing Scheme, Bertram Close, Bellevue Drive, Ebony Drive and Dovecot.
Areas affected by the Tulloch Springs system outage include: Kent Village, sections of Portmore, Greendale, Keystone, St Jago Heights, Patten Park, Richard Hall, Waterloo Gardens, Ensom Acres in St. Catherine; and Spanish Town Road and all roads leading off, Molynes Road and all roads leading off, Washington Boulevard and all roads leading off and Sections of downtown Kingston in the Corporate Area.
