Racing clip Portals in LIME Division 2 League
RACING United defeated East Portmore Portals, 2-1, at Gregory Park last Sunday in the LIME/Portmore Division Two football league.
It was Shamar Rall who drew first blood for East Portmore Portals in the 13th minute; however, in the 40th Racing equalised through Gary Wallen as the first half ended 1-1.
Racing United netted their second goal in the 54th when Kemar Harding scored to take all three points.
In the other game played at the venue, Silverstone drew 2-2 with Garveymeade. Paul Josephs netted in the 46th, while Timmoy Green did likewise in the 90th for Silverstone. Scoring for Garveymeade were Romaine Donaldson in the 60th and Jermaine McFarlane in the 74th.
Meanwhile, in the second of two games played at the Ferdie Neita Sports Complex, Greater Portmore edged Braeton, 1-0, courtesy of an own goal from Saed Francis in the 84th.
In the curtain-raiser Bridgeport and Cumberland battled to a 0-0 stalemate in their encounter.
Games continue this afternoon with East Portmore Portals facing Garveymeade at Greater Portmore High at 1:00 and Greater Portmore hosting Cumberland at 3:00.
In a double-header at Racing field, Bridgeport meet Braeton at1:00 pm and Racing host Silverstone at 3:00.
