Cornwall College host Holland High in ISSA/KFC basketball
MONTEGO BAY, St James – THE Under-19 section of the ISSA/KFC, Western Conference high school boys basketball competition will end this afternoon with defending champions Cornwall College hosting Holland High in a rescheduled game at the school’s Montego Bay campus.
Both schools have already qualified for the semi-finals along with the unbeaten Muschett High and William Knibb Memorial. However, they are playing for third place and a chance to avoid favourites Muschett in the semi-finals, set for next week.
The game was washed out in November last year and rescheduled for this afternoon.
Both Cornwall College, who have won the last two titles, and Holland High are on 14 points from six wins and two losses, trailing Muschett High’s 18 points and William Knibb’s 17 as the Trelawny schools have locked up the top two positions.
Today’s winners will meet William Knibb, while the loser gets to face Muschett who are seeking the double as they are also undefeated in the Under-16 section and leads the semi-final qualifiers there as well.
