Bolt gets another athlete of the year award
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Usain Bolt has racked up another athlete of the year award, this time from the United States Sports Academy.
The speedster copped the male prize while the female award went to tennis star Serena Williams.
Bolt repeated his triple gold medal haul from Beijing 2008 in London this past summer, further extending his dominance of the sport.
Bolt was also named male athlete of the year by athletics governing body, the International Association of Athletics Associations (IAAF).
Williams won two gold medals in London, also copping the Wimbledon and US Open titles.
Voting, done by hundreds of thousands of fans worldwide, lasted from December 1 to 21.
