Tomorrow’s People blank Bamboo 3-0
BAMBOO, Hanover — Tomorrow’s People jumped into the lead in Zone Two of the Jamaica Football Federation Captain’s Bakery and Grill Western Confederation Super League following their 3-0 beating of Bamboo FC at Bamboo on Thursday.
Tomorrow’s People’s win takes them ahead of Holland United and Reno FC on goal difference, all on three points each.
Also on Thursday Holland blanked debutants Norwood Strikers 2-0, Catherine Hall and Harmony FC drew 0-0, while the game between Petersfield and Logwood ended prematurely due to heavy rains.
Former champions and last season’s beaten finalists Wadadah lead Zone One after their win over Village United on Tuesday.
At Bamboo on Thursday, Marcel Whyte scored in the 15th minute, Gregory Tape in the 70th and David Simpson in the 83rd for the St James club that just missed making it to the semi-finals last season.
Holland, who returned to the Super League this season, got first-half goals from Ronique Haynes in the 27th minute and Davian Graham in the 37th minute in their win over Norwood Strikers, last season’s St James FA Senior League champions.
