SSP Hewitt murder suspects released
KINGSTON, Jamaica- Three of the four persons who were in custody for the murder of former Senior Superintendent Tony Hewitt have been released.
In a release to the media today, the police report that following the conduct of identification parades yesterday Jermaine Smith also called ‘Duppy Bat’, Raymond Francis, also called ‘Redhead’ and Jomo McLeod were released from custody.
The fourth suspect Omar McDonald, nicknamed ‘ Devvy’, was charged for another murder which was committed in 2007.
Smith and Francis were both listed as Persons of Interest while McLeod and McDonald voluntarily turned themselves in to the police.
