Décor is ever-changing in our home to suit our mood, or trends or the “season”, but most of us have more desire to change than we do the space to accommodate and store that which we’re changing. So I suggest having pieces serve dual purposes or have dual (reversible) looks.

Back cushions, seat cushions and accent pillows are great ways to add colours, patterns and textures in your home, because small touches throughout are far easier on the eye than full coverage so when you find what you like, if they compliment your main pieces, but don’t go together, then feature them separately using the same pillow/cushion by making them reversible.

This way, you spend far less because you save on half the fabric. To do this you will:

o Calculate the dimensions of your pillows/cushions

o Cut fabric for cushions

o If you are using trimmings or piping cord, make sure that what you select works well with both fabrics

o Stitch cushions with both your fabrics

o And enjoy
