The House reopens
The House Restaurant and Lounge is rested, refreshed and ready to take lounge service and personal comfort to a whole new level. Located at 123 Constant Spring Road, the lounge reopened in July under new management, after undergoing seven months of extensive renovation. Think: club lounging meets euro-like ambience with ample space and you’ll get the general gist of this comfy endroit.
Patrons are able to enjoy the diverse music selections or catch up on the latest in reality TV on one of the three plasma televisions.
Good music and comfy atmosphere aside, emphasis has been placed on the fare and appetisers such as quesadillas, buffalo wings, and nachos and cheese, in addition to pasta dishes and wraps, at prices that will add to the positive experience.
The VIP Red Room, complete with bubbly, your own waitress, mini bar, tasty nibbles and personalised music selections, is in demand so reservations are a must if ‘House’ exclusivity is what you seek.
House manager Rory McCalla tells Thursday Food that a schedule was recently finalised to introduce theme nights. “It is important that patrons understand that The House Restaurant and Lounge is customer-centric. As such we have created several theme nights for our customers to come out and enjoy all we have to offer.” On Monday nights, patrons are treated to Deuces Monday: a two-for-one admission special that ends at 10:00 pm — two patrons can for $1,000, drink all night. The price after 10:00 pm moves to $1,000 each but remains an all-inclusive drink night. Thursdays have been re-branded as Top Five Thursdays where the first five groups of five people will receive a complimentary cue of liquor with their chaser of choice.
The weekend kicks off with Hollywood Fridays where there is a live deejay and every hour on the hour, all patrons are treated to free shots of the ‘Asafa’, ‘Bob Marley’, and ‘Climax’.
Overdose Saturdays offers patrons selected vodkas, wines and Appleton mixes all night for $1,000. While the venue is closed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays, “arrangements can be made to host small events any day of the week”, explains McCalla.
Plans are currently in progress to open earlier than the current 6:00 pm to provide lunch deliveries and to introduce Saturday Night Live at The House, which will feature a live reggae band and reggae artiste.
