Phillips crashes out of hurdles semi final as Merritt wins
KINGSTON, Jamaica — American Aries Merritt won the second semifinal of the men’s 110 metre hurdles in 12.94.
Jamaican Richard Phillips crashed into several hurdles before coming to a halt.
Former world champion Barbados’ Ryan Brathwaite was second in 13.23 while Xie Wenjun opf China was third (13.34).
