Weir is third Jamaican into men’s 200m semis
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Debutant Warren Weir, Jamaica’s third entrant in the 200m stamped his class on the field this morning winning in 20.29.
Weir ran out of lane 5 in the fifth heat to beat Antoine Adams of St Kitts and Nevis (20.59) into second.
Third was Kamil Krynski of Poland (20.66).
Alonso Edward of Panama was disqualified after a false start.
