Tomorrow’s Jamaica 50 events
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Denbigh Agricultural Show gets underway tomorrow at the Denbigh Showground in May Pen, Clarendon beginning at 8:00am.
Day into Night Celebrations and activities continue at the Jamaica 50 Golden Jubilee Village, with the daily flag raising exercise first on the agenda, after which the national anthem is played.
The children’s village will be opened, followed by a daytime concert from 2:00pm to 4:30pm. Competitions will also be held and multi-media screens set up to watch Olympic highlights.
This event is free to the public.
Exposition tours will also continue tomorrow at the Jubilee Village at the National Arena and Jamaica’s Independence Children Extravaganza begins tomorrow at 8:00am at the Jubilee Village.
The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) will host a World Reggae Dance Competition beginning at 7:00pm at the National Indoor Sports Centre. The finals in the dance championship will be followed by “party time” in the VIllage. This is a paid event.
There will also be a Beach Bash Street Dance, organised by the JCDC, to be held at the Roxbourough Beach in St Ann’s Bay. This is scheduled to begin at 9:00pm.
The Brand Jamaica Festival Village continues in Falmouth Town Square.
