Blake getting goose bumps
LONDON, England – World Champion Yohan Blake says he is getting goose bumps as he gets ready for his first Olympic Games here in London. At a press conference put on by his sponsors Adidas at a shopping mall near the Olympic park in Stratford, London today, Blake says he is excited to be living one of his dreams, to be taking part in the Olympic Games.
Blake said four years ago he was watching the Beijing Olympics from his home in Jamaica saying “but four years later here I am.”
The former St Jago runner who was addressing the media for the first time since his win in the 100m in Switzerland just over two weeks ago repeatedly parried questions about how he plans to beat his training partner and defending champion Usain Bolt by telling members of the international media gathered that he was focused on executing his race, “I am not focusing on Usain, I am focusing on me,” he said.
Blake who won the sprint double at the Jamaican Trials in June will run both events her at the Olympics and says he hopes to go home with three gold medals including one in the 4x100m relays.
