False start rules clarified
Rules governing the false start in track events have been clarified in the lead-up to the London Olympics, according to the IAAF.
A representative of the International Amateur Athletic Association informed that twitching or flinching in the blocks will no longer be considered a false start once the athlete’s hands do not leave the ground or their feet, the blocks.
