It’s always good to lose, says Bolt
KINGSTON, Jamaica — He’s the fastest man in the world and on his way to becoming a legend, but Usain Bolt isn’t afraid to lose, in fact, it’s necessary.Related story:Usain Bolt: ‘Legends have come before me, but this is my time’
Bolt has set world records in both the 100m and 200m and many felt he would be invincible for years to come, but that wasn’t the case.
Bolt was disqualified for a false start at the Daegu World Championships last year and he was defeated by training partner Yohan Blake in both sprints at the National Trials about a month ago.
But the man who’s trying to become a legend told the British newspaper, The Guardian, “it wakes you up”, adding “this will be the year when I set myself apart from other athletes in the world.”
